We are lucky to see a lot of low mileage, few owner Boxsters and Caymans here at Flat Six Classics, and W382EKJ certainly ticks both those boxes. The car has had just 2 owners from new, the second of whom bought the car at just 6 months old in October 2000, looked after it for the next 22 years until offering it to us a few weeks ago. Throughout all this time the car has been used sparingly as a second car, averaging just under 2,500 miles per year.

Looking superb in Ocean Blue metallic paint with both a matching hardtop and a navy blue soft top, complemented by graphite grey leather seats, this Boxster is in excellent and highly original condition throughout. Some key options are fitted – the aforementioned hardtop, heated seats, ASR and ABD traction control (the forerunners to PSM Porsche Stability Management), 17″ Twist spoke wheels, automatic air conditioning and a set of fabulous and super rare carbon fibre door sill protectors.

The service history is comprehensive, with 14 entries recorded in the service book. The long term owner used his local Porsche Centre in the Midlands for the first 3 years, then having moved to Cornwall he used Porsche Centre Exeter for the next 2 services, before finding a trusted local garage in Gunnislake, who looked after the car for the next 15 years. In addition to regular servicing, the car has also had AC condensers (2010 at 40,000 miles), front discs and pads (2014 at 47,500 miles), and a full suspension refresh in 2021 at 52,000 miles, comprising new Bilstein B4 dampers, top mounts, bump stops, bellows and ARB drop links, plus rear discs and pads. There is a bulging history file complete with 17 old MOT certificates right back to the first in March 2003.

Unsurprisingly, the car drives incredibly well on its new suspension, in fact the whole car feels fresh, delivering an intoxicating drive. We have prepared the car for sale with a Major service, new spark plugs and ignition coils, auxiliary drive belt and a brake fluid change. In addition we have replaced the exhaust manifiold to cat pipe flange bolts and all the clamps and sleeves in the rest of the exhaust system. A fresh MOT test has just been carried out, resulting in a clean pass with no advisories. We have also fitted a new set of Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres to the newly refurbished 17″ Twist spoke alloy wheels.
