An early Stuttgart-built 986 Boxster 2.5 with very low genuine mileage of 43,296, K239KRC was first registered on January 1st 1998, so would have been built during 1997, making it one of the first UK cars (there was a waiting list of up to 12 months from order to delivery due to massive demand at launch).

Looking great in period Zenith Blue metallic paint with graphite grey leather interior, K239KRC has just a few options fitted – automatic air conditioning, 17″ Twist-spoke wheels, leather seats, wind deflector, centre console with CD compartment, an on-board computer and the super-rare soft zipped storage pocket on the engine cover (only fitted to the very early 2.5 cars, superseded with a hard plastic storage box from 1999).

The car has had just 4 previous owners over the last 23 years, and remains in completely standard and original condition throughout. The chap we bought it from only had it for a few months, selling because he had an order for a new 718 Boxster GTS confirmed by his local dealer Porsche Centre Swindon. Despite this short ownership period, he spent over £2,000 on a Porsche Centre service, new brakes all round, new AC condensers and a set of Michelin Pilot Sport N-rated tyres.

We will prepare the car for sale with a brake fluid change, new ignition coils, and some minor paint rectification to address some stone chipping. The service record was unfortunately mislaid by a previous owner, so we will supply a new genuine Porsche replacement book, and use the service invoices in the history file to populate it with correct entries. There are maintenance invoices from Porsche Centres for 2004 (19,096 miles), 2007 (30,347 miles), 2010 (34,280 miles), 2012 (35,206 miles) and 2021 (43,236 miles), plus a specialist invoice from Gantspeed Engineering in 2019 (at 42,677 miles).

This is a lovely original 2.5 Boxster that drives as well as it looks – the free-revving 2.5 flat-six engine delivering instant throttle response, and a sweet handling balance combined with perfect control weights and a lovely manual gearchange. The perfect way to celebrate 25 years of the Boxster in 2021.
